Why is it so hard to give away free labor?
I’m in charge of organizing the service project for the 30 Hour Famine my church youth group is doing. A few weeks ago I contacted 7 organizations focusing on local hunger. So far I’ve gotten two rejections and three “we’ll get back to you”s. Now I would think “Hey, these people are out in the community doing good work and don’t have time to organize...
I know this is only a temp job
but it still feels really great to have a title (other than intern) to write under my name when I sign e-mails.
